Your stock, your bills, your stitching orders — one shop system.
Kuttu is a Windows desktop suite built for a working boutique. Track fabric, sarees and readymade stock, print GST bills, take custom stitching measurements, pay salaries, record rent and shop expenses, and see clear reports of how the shop is doing — without a single notebook.
| Order | Customer | Garment | Status |

Three notebooks, one memory, and a lot of guessing.
“How much lining is left?”
Stock lives in a register, sales in another. Kuttu links them — every sale reduces the matching stock automatically.
“What were her measurements?”
Measurements, garment style and balance due for every customer, stored and searchable — with a printable chit for the tailor.
“Who stitched how many?”
Daily piecework per cutting master and tailor, summed by day or date range, ready for payday.
Eleven modules. One Home screen.
Every module opens from a single Home launcher, runs in its own window, and shares the same look, the same shortcuts and the same safety features.
Inventory & sales
Astar Ledger
Lining-fabric stock: vendors, cost and selling price, HSN code and tax rate, barcode labels — with Received, Sold/Used and Balance in metres for every item.
Astar Sale
Record fabric sales by the metre with customer, price, payment mode (Cash / Card / QR / Online) and barcode. Stock reduces in Astar Ledger automatically.
Saree Ledger
Saree inventory by piece — name, type/fabric, cost, price, stock, barcode — with the same search, archive and undo as every ledger.
Saree Sale
Saree sales by piece with a printable bill, CGST/SGST shown when your shop has a GSTIN, and automatic stock deduction.
Readymade Ledger
Ready-made garment stock with Garment Type and Size, so you can see exactly what sizes are left on the rack.
Readymade Sale
Sell garments by type and size, with GST added to the subtotal and stock reduced from the ledger as you bill.
Custom work, billing & people
Stitching Measurement
Customer orders with full measurements for blouse, kameez, salwar, churidar, kurta, frocks, lehanga choli, top and bottom sets, kids' wear, uniform shirt and skirt — plus saree fall, pico and border services. Multi-garment orders (even two of the same garment), merge orders, cutting slips, balance tracking.
Employee Tracker
Daily count of garments cut or stitched by each Cutting Master and Tailor, with day and date-range summaries.
Print Bill
Any-item invoice for one-offs and services — per-item GST, discount, advances, WhatsApp sharing. Barcode-matched items also reduce stock.
Shop expenses & pay
Stationery & Misc Purchases
Record everyday buys that aren't stock — stationery, tailoring supplies, packaging, running costs — by category, with payment mode and a spent-by-category total.
Salary & Rent
Pay staff monthly, weekly or daily with leave deducted per day and a printable salary slip, and track each month's shop rent as Paid, Part paid or Due.
Across everything
Consolidated Analytics
One report page across all modules: inventory value, sales revenue, Print Bill invoicing, stitching orders, staff piecework, expenses, and salary and rent paid — with charts and links into each module's full report.
GST Summary
One window with the GST on all your bills for any period: by application, by HSN code, and bill by bill. Export it to Excel for your accountant. It is a summary of your own bills, not a GST return filing.
Know how your shop is really doing.
Every module has its own report, and one Consolidated Analytics page pulls the whole shop together. Open it any time from the Home screen — no spreadsheets, no month-end scramble.
- How much have we sold, and what is our stock worth?Sales revenue and inventory value, side by side.
- Who still owes us money?Invoiced, collected and balance due from Print Bill, oldest first.
- Which vendors and items matter most?Top vendors by stock, top items by amount, and best sellers by barcode.
- Which product line earns the most?Astar, saree, readymade and stitching revenue, with the sales app and Print Bill combined, before GST.
- How much GST did we charge?CGST and SGST by application, HSN code and bill, for any month or date range.
- Where is the money going?Salary and rent paid, plus everyday expenses by category, month by month.
- What is happening in the workshop?Stitching orders by status and top staff output.
- Charts that fit any screen, from a big monitor to a small window
- Opens in your web browser, and only reads your data — it never changes anything
- Full report for each module, one click from the Consolidated page
- Excel export from most modules when your accountant needs the numbers

Every customer's measurements, always to hand.
Pick the gender, tap the garment, enter the measurements. Add a blouse, churidar and salwar to the same visit — they all file under one order number. Ordering two churidars? Both fit on the same order, each with its own measurements.
- Customer rating — New, Regular, VIP or Premium — with VIP rows highlighted in the table
- Blouse style detail: neckline, back style, sleeves, construction, padding and single/double lining
- Billing per order: total and an optional GST toggle, with an Advance Payments list — add each payment with its date, mode and Transaction ID, and edit it later. Payments are shared over the order's garments, so the balance is always right
- Print Bill for the whole order in the same layout as the sale bills, and a Print Preview that stays clean — the measurements are on the cutting slip, not on the customer's copy
- The orders list shows each garment's amount, discount, advance paid and what is still due, with a running total of money owed. While you edit an order, a live line shows its total items, bill amount and due
- Printable cutting and tailoring slips for the workshop
- Delivery status, customer rating and feedback recorded after handover
- Lining metres used can reduce real Astar Ledger stock through the item's barcode
- Saree fall, pico and border work as a service order — choose any combination, and the border fabric type when there is one
- Give each garment its own name, such as "Red wedding blouse", so a repeat order is easy to tell apart
- Add a Trial Date between the order date and delivery date for fittings
- One order can hold both men's and women's garments for the same family — each garment keeps its own gender, and the bill and chit list them together
- Customer gave a sample garment? Mark it and skip the measurements
- A Due Soon list sits right on your Home screen: orders that are late show in red, due today in amber, and due within 7 days below — double-click one to jump straight to that order
- VIP and Premium customers get an extra care note on the cutting slip
- Merge orders that belong to the same customer into one, with one combined bill
- Send the bill on WhatsApp in one click

Proper GST bills, in seconds.
Bill from any sale module or use Print Bill for anything else. Bills carry your shop name, taxable value and CGST/SGST, and can be printed or sent on WhatsApp.
- GST set per item — only taxable items are taxed
- One overall discount, as a percentage or in rupees
- An Advance Payments table on every billing form — Add Payment, Edit Selected — with any number of part-payments tracked against the bill, oldest first; a payment can never be more than what is due
- Tick Paid to record the whole due amount as paid, with its own paid date — the advance you took earlier stays separate
- Every bill ends with a payment history: each payment's date, time, mode and amount, and what was still due after it — on the printed bill, the preview and the WhatsApp message, for sales and stitching orders alike
- Pick a date in the calendar and the time is kept with it, shown on the bill; every later change of a date is recorded in a date edit log
- Customer contact, WhatsApp number, order and delivery dates on the bill
- Barcode-matched items reduce ledger stock exactly like a sale
- Every bill reads the same way in every billing module: items, taxable value, CGST and SGST, invoice value, advance and balance due
- A Balance Due list shows every bill with money still to collect
- Send via WhatsApp opens WhatsApp with the bill ready — you press Send
- Set your own shop name, GSTIN, address and phone once in Shop Settings — they print on every bill. No GSTIN entered means no GST is charged
- Set the CGST and SGST percentages in Shop Settings. If the rate changes, old bills keep the rate they were charged at
- Mark each fabric, saree or readymade sale as GST or Non-GST — the whole bill follows your choice, and Non-GST bills show no CGST or SGST
- Switch GST off for any billing module that doesn't need it — those bills say "GST: Not applicable"
- QR Code and Online payments record a Transaction ID, printed on the bill
- Bill-number prefixes for each module are yours to set
- Set one HSN code for each billing module in Shop Settings, printed on every bill line
- A GST Summary on Home totals your CGST and SGST by month — per application, per HSN code and bill by bill — ready to export to Excel for your accountant
Sell it once. Stock updates everywhere.
Sales, stitching orders and Print Bill items write to a shared queue, and an open ledger picks each one up within seconds — no button to click. No double entry, no end-of-month reconciliation.

from Home
Received · Sold/Used · Balance
Every ledger shows what came in, what has gone out through sales and orders, and what is left — in metres or pieces.
Nothing goes missing silently
If a stock update ever can't be read, the ledger tells you which sales weren't taken out of stock, so you can fix the balance by hand.
Restock alerts
Set a minimum stock and reorder level. A Needs Restock list shows what is out or running low, with the vendor's name and number so you know whom to call.
Barcode labels
Print barcode labels for stock items from the ledgers, and scan or type a barcode when billing to fill in the item and price. Works with any USB barcode scanner.
Search & archive
Search by name, number, phone and more. In most modules, deleting archives an entry with a reason, so you can bring it back any time.
Undo & validation
Undo the last change, pick dates from a calendar, and run a Data Quality check that lists missing details, zero amounts and possible duplicates.
Same layout in every module
A month selector with totals always in view, tabs for the extra lists, and Duplicate / Edit / Delete under the table. Learn one screen and you know them all.
Clean, consistent data
Fixed dropdowns such as size, fabric and garment type stop typing mistakes. A genuinely new value goes in through Others, so your reports always agree.
Reports with charts
Every module has its own report that opens in your web browser, with charts that fit any screen, plus one Consolidated Analytics page for the whole shop.
Many rows at once
Hold Ctrl or Shift to select several rows. Archive many entries in one step, or print barcode labels for all the items you picked.
Tables that work your way
Click a heading to sort, drag columns wider, and double-click to fit. Month, date and search filters keep your place after you save.
Excel export
Export lists to Excel from most modules, for your accountant or your own analysis.
Know who cut and stitched what.
At day end, enter how many garments each cutting master or tailor completed. See each person's days worked, total garments and daily average for any period — payday becomes arithmetic, not an argument.
Staff names are shared with Stitching Measurement and Salary & Rent, so you type each name once.

Payday and rent day, worked out for you.
Kuttu works out each person's pay for you and prints a salary slip. It warns you before you pay the same person twice for one period.
- Staff paid monthly, weekly or daily, with leave taken into account
- Salary slip to print or send to the staff member on WhatsApp
- Rent per property: landlord, due day, deposit held, and Paid / Part paid / Due each month
- Landlord's receipt number and payment mode saved with every payment
- One search box finds a person, slip, receipt or amount across staff, salary and rent
- Everyday purchases recorded by category in Stationery & Misc Purchases
- Totals flow into Consolidated Analytics on Home
Your staff can work in the language they read.
Switch every screen between English, हिन्दी and తెలుగు from the Home screen — each PC remembers its choice. Bills, WhatsApp messages and chits your customers receive always stay in English.
Runs on your PC. Stays on your PC.
Fully offline
No internet needed to run your shop. Everything is stored in files on your own computer.
Safe saves & backups
Every change is saved at once and a backup copy is made after every save (the last 50 are kept). Backup / Restore takes you back to an earlier copy, and a power cut in the middle of a save won't corrupt your records.
You choose where data lives
Keep your data on any folder or drive — not only C:. Change it any time in System Settings; Kuttu copies your records to the new place and never overwrites data that is already there.
Back up once a week
Copy the data folder to a pen drive or cloud storage each week. Backups on the same PC don't help if the PC itself is lost.
One installer
A single Windows setup installs all modules together behind one Home launcher.
Your shop on every bill
Enter your shop name, GSTIN, address and phone once in Shop Settings. Every bill and slip prints them.

Questions shop owners ask
Where is my data stored? Is it safe?
On your own PC, in local files — in a folder you choose, on any drive. The first time you open Kuttu it asks where to keep your data, and you can change it later in System Settings, which also shows where your data, backups and logs are. Nothing is uploaded, saves are atomic, and backups are kept automatically.
Do I need internet?
No. Kuttu runs fully offline. Internet is only used if you choose to share a bill through WhatsApp.
Can I use it for only sarees, or only stitching?
Yes. Each module opens on its own from Home, so use only the ones your shop needs.
How many PCs does one license cover?
One license covers one PC. If you want to run Kuttu on another computer, that needs its own license.
What happens right after I pay?
Right after payment we email you a private download link that works for 48 hours (check your spam folder). If it expires, request a new one on this page with the same email you paid with. After installing, Kuttu asks you to activate it — see the next question.
How does activation work?
When you first open Kuttu it shows your PC's Machine ID with Email and WhatsApp buttons. Send it to us, and we reply with a license key made for that PC. Paste the key in and Kuttu is activated. A key only works on the PC it was made for, and your license runs for one year from the day we issue it.
What happens after one year? How do I renew?
About 30 days before your license ends, Kuttu shows a reminder on the Home screen with the date and the days left. To renew, send us your Machine ID again (it's in Home → System Settings), and we reply with a new key. In System Settings, click Renew License, paste the key and Activate — your data and settings stay exactly as they are. If a license ends before you renew, Kuttu asks for a new key when it opens; your records are never deleted or locked away. For the renewal price, contact us on WhatsApp or use the contact section.
Can my staff use it in Hindi or Telugu?
Yes. Every screen can be switched between English, हिन्दी and తెలుగు from the Home screen. Bills and messages sent to your customers stay in English.
What do I need to run Kuttu?
A Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) PC with about 1 GB of free space. You don't need administrator rights or internet. A printer, WhatsApp on the PC and a USB barcode scanner are optional.
What if I change my PC or reinstall Windows?
The license is tied to the PC. If the computer changes, Kuttu shows a new Machine ID — send it to us and we reply with a new key. Copy your data folder across to keep your records.
Do you train our staff?
Yes — we can help in Telugu or Hindi as well as English. Message us on WhatsApp.
Will I get updates? Are they free?
Bug fixes are free for customers who have bought a license. When there's a fix, we send you the new installer. Run it over your existing Kuttu — your data and your license are kept, so you don't enter anything again. Updates never install by themselves, so nothing changes until you choose to. New modules are paid add-ons, and we'll tell you the price before you decide. Each module's version shows on its Home button, so you always know what you have. Before updating, it's good practice to copy your data folder as a backup.
What if installation goes wrong?
Message us on WhatsApp or email and we'll help you get running.
What is the refund policy?
There are no refunds. Your purchase covers a one-year license for one PC, so please ask us any questions before you buy.
Build software for real shops.
Kuttu is a small team making software boutiques and tailoring shops use every day. We mostly look for interns, and our roles are usually part-time, so students and early-career applicants are very welcome. If you like practical problems and seeing your work used at a counter, we'd like to hear from you.
